It's Valentine's Day and some of the street sellers around the city have plastic roses and chocolate for sale. I bought a variety of chocolate for the two women in the office but they have not come in yet. The bars say 100% Ghanian cocoa (the major export here, together with gold and oil), so I looking forward to a taste.
The director of the community center in Old Fadama took pictures of the mediations I wrote about yesterday and I just learned he published them on Facebook. I am reprinting them here. His Facebook page is "Fadama Legal Assistance Project - FLAP" and has pictures of my group at work in the slum on various projects.
I also now have a picture of the building where I am working out of. We have the whole second floor. This is a quiet side street and you still see selling, although these are some of the nicer style of shops. The one on the right is a bar that I have never any one go into and the one on the left is a store that sells all kinds of products appealing to woman, offers a laundry service, sells snacks, and I think does women's hair. This is a corner lot and the building on the right are more small shops facing the cross street.
